What We Believe

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the infallible, inspired, authoritative word of God and the final authority for all matters of faith and Christian living. 2 Timothy 3:14-17

We believe that there is only one God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19, John 14:5-26

We believe in Jesus Christ, who came to earth as God in human flesh, who died on the cross for our sins and was raised from the dead. 1 Corinthians 15:3-6

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Living God, who draws people to Christ and who lives in every person who has received Christ. By the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the Christian is enabled to live the Godly life.   John 16:8-9, 1 Cor 2:10-14, Ephesians 1:13-14, John 14:26

We believe that man, created by God, willfully sinned and as a result is lost and without hope without receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Romans 3:23

We believe that salvation, forgiveness of sins, is available only by the grace of God through the blood of Jesus Christ. Forgiveness is a free gift offered to anyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9

We believe that the Bible teaches that to receive Christ as Lord and Savior, you must believe in Jesus as God’s Son and Savior of the world, repent of personal sins, confess your belief in Christ publicly, and be baptized. Romans 10:9-10, Acts 2:36-38, Mark 16:16.

We believe that baptism, as the example by Jesus Chris and as commanded by him, is the full immersion of a repentant believer in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in the newness of life in Christ Jesus. Mark 1:9-10; Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4.

We believe that the church, known in the New Testament as the body of Christ, includes all of the redeemed of all the ages, believers from every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation. 1 Cor 12:13, Ephesians 5:22-32, Hebrews 11:31-40, Revelation 5:9

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ commanded the preaching of the gospel to all nations. It is the duty of all believers to seek to win the lost to Christ by verbal teaching, preaching and witnessing, accompanied by a Christian lifestyle and by other methods demonstrated by Jesus example. Matthew 28:18-20, 2 Timothy 4:1-2

We believe that the eternity of each person is sealed with their death. Those who have accepted the forgiveness of God by receiving Jesus Christ as their personal savior will spend eternity with God in heaven, those who are not forgiven will be eternally separated from God in hell. Daniel 12:1-2, Matthew 25:31-46, John 5:28-29, Rev 20:1
