Julien is a graduate of UC Berkeley School of Law (J.D., 1991) and the University of Southern California (B.A., 1988). Julien started his career in Los Angeles practicing complex commercial litigation at O’Melveny & Myers and then at Kaye Scholer.

In 1995, Julien left private practice to become a prosecutor with the United States Attorney’s office in Los Angeles and then in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. There he worked in the government fraud and public corruption section, where he successfully tried 21 jury trials and prosecuted a variety of complex white-collar criminal cases. Julien received commendations from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Internal Revenue Service, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Julien then returned to private practice, joining Dovel & Luner in 2001 and becoming a partner the next year.

Wendy Marcelle Fitzwilliam is a Trinidadian lawyer, actress, model, singer, TV Host and beauty queen who won Miss Trinidad and Tobago Universe 1998 becoming the second Miss Universe in history from Trinidad and Tobago.  At the age of 25, Wendy was the fourth woman of African heritage to capture the Miss Universe crown.

During her reign, she was honored by the United Nations and bestowed the title of UNAIDS and UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador for her work in HIV/AIDS education and awareness.

Her dedication to the HIV/AIDS cause also led her to found The Hibiscus Foundation (THF) in Trinidad & Tobago on 6 September 1998. This organization was established to heighten AIDS awareness in Trinidad & Tobago and to give assistance, financially and otherwise, to children’s homes in Trinidad.

She was the international spokesperson for Clear Essence Skin Care and made several notable television appearances having hosted segments of “Wild On…” for E! Entertainment Television and the Miss Universe Special for the same network.

She made appearances on “Live with Regis and Kathy Lee”, “The Magic Hour”, “Politically Incorrect”, “The O’Reilly Factor“, CNN’s “Talk Back Live”, Trinidad & Tobago Carnival” for BET, “The Johnny Cockran Show” on Court TV, Soca Monarch Finals for CNMG with Danny Glover and Chris Tucker, among others.

Stephen Horwitz was born in Los Angeles and has lived in the Los Angeles area most of his life.  He is a graduate of Cal State Northridge and received his lifetime teaching credential in 1967.  Stephen taught at the Los Angeles City Schools for ten years.

In 1972, Stephen and his long time friend – Howard Wang the Sierra Canyon Day Camp in Santa Clarita Valley, California.  In 1977 Stephen and Howard purchased property in Chatsworth and moved the camp to this purchased site.  This was the beginning of the Sierra Canyon School which opened in 1978 with 150 students in kindergarten through sixth grade.  The school facility grew to 17 acres, 40,000 sq ft of buildings and over 200 employees when it was sold in 2006.  A non-profit organization was formed to build the new school.

Yostin Lissette “Justine” Pasek Patiño is a Polish-Panamanian model, philanthropist and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Universe 2002. Originally the first runner-up at the Miss Universe 2002 competition, Pasek became the first ever runner-up to be crowned the winner after the dethronement of original winner Oxana Fedorova.^[1]

Pasek was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine to a Panamanian mother and a Polish father; her mother was a homemaker, while her father was an engineer. Despite her birth name being Yostin, Pasek was raised being affectionately referred to by her Polish name Justyna. She is the eldest of three children and only daughter; her two younger brothers are Edward and Alvaro. The family resided in Ukraine for one year, and later moved to the village of Wożuczyn, near Zamość in southeastern Poland, close to the border with Ukraine. After her mother finished her studies in chemistry, the family left Poland and settled in Panama City, where Pasek was raised.^[2]

Prior to pageantry, Pasek worked as a professional model in Panama City; she appeared in television productions and fashion shows. Pasek had planned to complete a university degree in environmental engineering in New Zealand with her brothers, and later work for the Smithsonian Research Center.

Dr. Arthur W. Martin was born on the island of St. Kitts which is located in the north eastern Caribbean. There he received most of his secondary education. In 1988 he attended the University of the Virgin Islands where he majored in Chemistry; in 1990 he transferred to the City College of New York where he majored in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Chemistry. He always believed that summer was a time to gain work experience. So in the summer of 1990 and 1991 he worked at the Dolphus Milligan Research Institute with Dr.Henry McBay under an NSF-Undergraduate Research Grant in Chemistry. In the summers of 1992 and 1993 he was able to receive summer internships at Corning Incorporated due to the two previous summers of his academic summer internships.

Arthur has had 13 years of industrial experience. He has contributed significantly to several cutting edge technologies. He began a cooperative employment at Corning Incorporated in1994 before relocating to Morristown, New Jersey to work for Allied Signal in Liquid Crystal Display Technologies. In 1997 Dr. Martin accepted a position as a Development Scientist working on continuous wear hydrogel contact lens. In 1998 he received his Masters Degree in Polymer Science & Engineering from NYU-Polytechnic University. In 2000 he was offered a position at IBM as an Advisory Scientist working on low-k polymeric materials for inter-level dielectrics for semi-conductors where he led the development effort to bring high speed computers. In 2003 Arthur decided to pursue his passion and enrolled in a PhD. Program at NYU-Polytechnic University where he worked on the Protein Engineering of cutinase enzyme for the degradation of polyesters and their application in drug delivery. In 2006 after completion of his PhD in Material Chemistry he joined Corning Incorporated as a Senior Research Scientist where he is working on a significant area that would impact this generation and future generations to come. Arthur is involved in designing novel chemistry and engineering in-vitro surfaces for stem cells for drug discovery and therapeutic value and was promoted to Group Leader of Bio-surface Process in Corning Life Sciences Division where he leads development effort to commercialize stem cell surfaces. He certainly thinks this would be a game changing technology that would revolutionize the health industry with huge global implications. Arthur has several scientific publications, 8 granted patents and has11 published patent applications both United States and World in the area of biomaterials for drug delivery and stem cell technology.Arthur has dedicated his life to mentoring young African American men and women in science & engineering and currently advices and supports historically black colleges and universities. In his spare time he enjoys political discussions, debating, spoken words poetry,tennis and basketball. He is an avid Jazz listener and collects jazz.Arthur is a proud father of four children, Charisse 13, Justin 10, Kaelin and Kristin 4. He lives in Corning, New York and is married to Judene his wife of 7 years. Arthur enjoys life to the fullest and believes that the most important resource given to mankind is its people. That is why he cares about investing in our children, that is, the children of the Caribbean.

Wyck Godfrey is an American film and television producer best known for producing The Twilight Saga series and The Maze Runner series. He was also partner of production company Temple Hill Entertainment with his friend Marty Bowen, which they founded in 2006. In 2017, he was named President of Paramount Motion Pictures Group.^[1] In 2020, Godfrey left Paramount and returned to producing with Temple Hill Entertainment.^[2]

Godfrey graduated from Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tennessee,^[1] earned a degree in English literature from Princeton University, and later moved to New York City, where he interned at New Line Cinema.^[3] In February 2006, he and his friend Marty Bowen founded their own production company, Temple Hill Entertainment, and produced The Nativity Story as their first film together.^[3][4] He was raised Christian.^[5]

Godfrey produced the five films in The Twilight Saga series from 2008 to 2012.^[6] In 2014, he produced the young adults novel adaptation, The Fault in Our Stars^[7] He has also produced the three films in The Maze Runner series.^[8]

A leader in her field, Dr. Kerr has been honored as one of the top OB/GYNs in America. She’s also been recognized for her work with cord blood stem cell collection and Special Needs Network-LA, an organization that provides resources for low-income families of children and adults with developmental disabilities in the autism spectrum. She has been honored by the March of Dimes “Celebration of Babies” efforts to end premature birth in America, the Thirst Project for her philanthropy and efforts to raise awareness regarding the global water crisis, and JHPAIGO’s efforts in international women’s and families’ health.

In addition to maintaining her private practice in Beverly Hills, Dr. Kerr is a clinical faculty member at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is also a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Los Angeles Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, the American Medical Women’s Association, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Kerr’s approach to medicine involves devoting time and consideration to each patient as well as a never-ending commitment to women’s health education and research. Outside of work, Dr. Kerr loves spending time with her husband and three sons.

St. Kitts-Nevis born Carol Ottley-Mitchell began her career as the General Manager of the St. Kitts based software development firm, Leyton Microcomputer Series. Now a stay-at-home mom, Carol has turned her attention to her love of literature and promoting literacy and a love of reading among Caribbean children. She is the self-published author of nine children’s books. Eight of the books are based in the Caribbean and children reading these books get an engaging peek into the culture, history, and geography of the Caribbean. Carol’s books have been nominated for the 2014 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award for Children’s Literature. They are also in use in the primary education system.

Kareen Wynter, a general assignment reporter for Los Angeles based television station KTLA was born on the Caribbean island of Jamaica.^[1] Kareen graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Boston College. She also has a Master of Arts in broadcast journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. In the 1990s, Kareen Wynter worked for WEWS in Cleveland, Ohio. Wynter has reported on the execution of death row inmate Stanley “Tookie” Williams, quadruple murderer and co-founder of the Crips street gang. She also brings regular updates regarding illegal immigration in California. In July 2013, Wynter began working as a reporter for television station KTLA in Los Angeles.^[2]

She is the mother of two children.^[1]
